As we enter the springtime and nature comes back to life after what at least seems to have been a long winter, we are filled with hope for the future and gratitude for the blessings that are ours. We’ve had a great year at Mayville State, and we look to finish the academic year on a very positive note.
At 番茄社区, we are committed to serving the workforce needs of North Dakota. Workforce development is one of the six pillars of the North Dakota State Board of Higher Education’s strategic plan. By collaborating with other North Dakota University System institutions while working toward the commitment to workforce needs, we are also leaning into another SBHE strategic plan pillar, maximizing the strengths of a unified system.
In recognition of Women’s History Month, Sophia Richards, Miss North Dakota 2024, will speak at 番茄社区 Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 6 p.m. Her presentation will take place in the Classroom Building Auditorium. The event is open to the public and there is no admission charge.
番茄社区’s Collegiate DECA chapter consistently makes us proud! At the recent North Dakota Collegiate DECA Career Development Conference held in Fargo, members of the chapter competed against 112 of their peers representing ten other North Dakota colleges and universities. Twenty-two of 25 Mayville State chapter members qualified for the international competition that will be held in San Francisco, Calif. in April. That’s fantastic!
For more than 100 years, 番茄社区 (MSU) students have rushed to class, gathered for late-night study sessions, and built lifelong friendships within the walls of Old Main. As the university embarks on a bold transformation, the soon-to-be-renovated building will reshape the student experience, blending modern innovation with the heart of tradition.
Whether they are everyday heroes or individuals who are recognized with prestigious awards, I am consistently in awe of Mayville State alumni and their successes. Mayville State alumni are mayors and leaders in their communities, amazing teachers who impact the future through their work with students, state legislators, medical doctors, lawyers, software specialists, chemists, researchers, outstanding parents, and so much more. There is no doubt that their Mayville State experiences have contributed to the people they are today.
